I was contacted by the lovely Elisabeth recently to receive a box of goodies from Evoluderm to test and talk to my favourite readers about. Having seen the brand in T.K. Maxx and already wanting to try a couple of things out I couldn’t wait to receive my goodies! They were so generous in sending me 5 products, all full size (and big size at that!) I am super grateful and can’t wait to share my thoughts on them with you guys.
A little more about the brand..
Evoluderm is a beauty brand from Paris who create products for the hair, face and body all at a very affordable price. Some of their main ingredients are precious oils such as argan, primrose, almond and jasmine along with shea butter and many more gorgeous goodies.
“For almost 15 years, Evoluderm is a pretty Parisian brand that nothing stops! Always attentive to the latest news and trends in hygiene-beauty, this French and family SME created in 2004 bubbling with energy, joy of living and ambition. The ambition to create quality products that always respond better to the desires of its consumers. The ambition to radiate “Made in France” internationally with a presence on 4 continents, in more than 60 countries. The ambition to position itself at the price most just to be accessible to all.”
Let’s get into the products I received..
Micellar Water for Combination to Oily Skin 250ml
“Enriched with extracts of pink grapefruit seed rich in vitamin C to help regulate excess sebum; formulated with micelles that attract and trap dirt, oil, and other impurities; purifies as it moisturizes without flushing, face, eyes and lips; leaves skin clean, clear, and refreshed”
This micellar water has such a lovely scent to it, kind of like apples but I’m not totally sure, either way I love it, It’s not over powering at all though! It also works really well at removing my makeup and any excess dirt and oils from my skin. I’ve used this every morning and night without fail since receiving it and it could totally replace my usual Garnier micellar water, although the largest size is 500ml rather than 700ml which is a shame but I can get over it. It does everything you want a micellar water to do and there is this one for combination/oily, another for dry/sensitive and another for reactive skin. They also do a moisturising cleansing milk which looks really nice too. In T.K Maxx their 500ml bottles are usually around £4.99 which is such great value for money.
Sweet Almond Milk & Shea Shampoo 400ml
“Sweet Almond Milk and Shea butter, renowned for their softening and repairing properties, protect hair from daily aggressions and provide suppleness and shine. Leaving your hair perfectly protected, your hair regains its original softness and is easy to comb.”
I couldn’t believe the size of this shampoo I received in my box and I was even more amazed at how little you need to use on your hair as it is so rich and smooth yet runny, but gives an almost instant lather as it touches the scalp. It feels so lovely on the hair and you can really feel how well it cleans the scalp as you massage it in to your roots. The only thing I would say is that I didn’t feel like it left my hair as soft as I was expecting or as protected/repaired but I think it’s a great shampoo for having as a spare while you decide which one to try next or just in between purchases. They do have a shampoo specifically for very dry and damaged hair so maybe that one would be more suited to me. They also have lots of other shampoos for coloured hair, oily hair etc so I’m sure there will be a shampoo for you! You can get bottles as big as 1 Litre of these for around £6.99 which is incredible along with their matching hair masks for the same price and just as big!
Shea Butter & Sweet Almond Shower Gel 200ml
This shower gel is rich in shea butter & sweet almond to moisturise and hydrate the skin leaving it soft, supple and smelling lovely. To be completely honest I didn’t think this shower gel was anything special but it did what it needed to do! Again I think this would be great to keep as a spare for in between purchases. I did love that you didn’t need to use much of the product to create a really nice lather to clean your whole body with so at least it’s great value for money especially with it being super affordable! You can also get this in huge bottles too.
Beauty Oil With Macadamia For Hair Face & Body 100ml
“Macadamia Beauty Oil is known for its protective and restorative properties. Fortified with vitamin F, it softens and nourishes intensely. Result: Your hair fiber is repaired and your skin is protected.
I love that this beauty oil can be used on the face, body and hair to help repair and protect, I love a good multi-use product! So far, due to having quite a few oils for different things I have just been using this solely as a hair oil and it does a really great job. It leaves my hair feeling lovely and soft as well as protected. I have to say I don’t love it as much as my SNI Oil (read here) but for a little something different it’s really nice and I really love the size and style of the bottle too.
Micellar Water Makeup Wipes For Sensitive Skin 25 Wipes
As some of you may know already I’m not a huge fan of makeup wipes, I don’t think they do a good job at removing makeup or do anything great for your skin so I try to stay well away from them as much as possible. As I had been sent these to try out though of course I did just that. I used them when I wanted to remove my makeup before re-applying to go ‘out out’ as it didn’t really matter if any was left behind, and I also used them to remove my makeup when I came in, in the early hours of the morning when I couldn’t be bothered to faff about. As I received the ones specifically for sensitive skin I did think they felt really nice and gentle on my skin but still not quite as gentle as I’d of liked, but some of the best I’ve used for awhile. They did an okay job at removing my makeup but going over with micellar water or toner you could see they didn’t remove all of it completely. I think for a one off every now and again these are a really great option and I will definitely continue to use them particularly for removing makeup before re-applying to save wasting my micellar water.
So there we have it, a little insight into Evoluderm and some of their products! I really enjoyed (and still am enjoying) trying products out from this brand and there are still a few more products I would like to try too! I’ve noticed they do a toning lotion which sounds really fab so that’s definitely on my list to try next! Have any of you tried any products from Evoluderm before?
