The Huda Beauty Obsessions Palettes

Since the end of last year as you may already know from some previous posts, Huda Beauty eyeshadows have become some of my top favourite which all started when I picked up the Desert Dusk Palette in Paris for my birthday, I just cannot get over the formula and these super cute mini palettes are no different. So far I have two of the six palettes available, Mauve Obsessions and Warm Obsessions. I picked these two palettes out of the bunch as they were a little different with Smokey Obsessions being more of a neutral brown, bronze and coppery palette (which I am more likely to get the shades from palettes I already own) and Electric Obsessions which is just being way out of my comfort zone with all the ultra bright colours. Only four of the six palettes were available when I picked up mine but we’ll get on to the two new ones in a little while, first here’s all you need to know about Mauve and Warm Brown Obsessions…

Mauve Obsessions offers a gorgeous range of rose, burgundy and pink shades along with some neutrals and taupes to go with them which I just totally fell in love with as soon as I saw the announcement of the new palettes. The shades are a mixture of six mattes and three metallics, totalling nine shades all together and the perfect amount to create a variety of looks. Warm Brown Obsessions on the other hand offers eight mattes and just one metallic shade and the shades range from browns to oranges, a gorgeous purple, gold and even a more peachy shade too, again a good amount to create a few different makeup looks. The only downfall for me is with the one metallic shade being quite a bright gold so I definitely think Mauve Obsessions tops it as my favourite of the two.

What I like most about these palettes is that they’re so travel friendly. You have nine shadows and a mirror that could most likely even fit in your pocket nevermind your handbag or makeup bag and even though the palettes are super cute and mini size, the size of the actual eyeshadow pans is not compromised at all and the shadows themselves still have the buttery smooth, super pigmented, easily blendable formula of the Desert Dusk palette which for me makes them a total steal at £25 each.

Since taking my pick of these palettes there has been two new Obsessions palettes released, Coral Obsessions which looks gorgeous and so perfect for summer and Gemstone Obsessions which is a total sparkly heaven in a palette with all the shades being metallic. As much as I love the look of these two new offerings though I do kind of feel like they’re not as versatile as the two I already have. I feel like they won’t be as easily to use by themselves and you may reach for another palette rather than just using the one palette to create your whole look. That being said with them being so small I think they’re a great extra to have in your collection anyway as they’re just so beautiful.

Which Obsessions palette is your favourite?
